The West London Line Group (WLLG) was set up in November 2004, to represent rail passengers and other organisations interested in the use of stations along the West London Line corridor. The Group’s primary aim is to seek a credible, robust and passenger-friendly set of rail services on the West London Line.

The new station at Imperial Wharf welcomed its first passengers on Sunday 27th September 2009.

Delay in extension of service to and from Milton Keynes

It has been brought to the attention of the Group that the extension of the Southern service from East Croydon to and from Milton Keynes will delayed until at least 9th February.

Revised Southern timetable (14 December 2009)
From 14 December, through services between the West London Line, Gatwick Airport and Brighton are withdrawn. Monday to Saturday services will now run hourly with NEW timings, and between Clapham Junction <-> East Croydon will call at all stations. Gatwick-Brighton passengers may change at either Clapham Junction (steep, narrow stairs) or East Croydon (no-step subway or overbridge). From 26 January 2009, the Monday-Saturday service will be extended to Milton Keynes. See the map on the right for the stations served.

Letter to Secretary of State for Transport

The WLLG expresses a number of concerns about the proposed cessation of the cross-Clapham services [the incomplete answers to Parliamentary questions, the 28% increase in passenger traffic in 18 months, conflicts of Government policies, the undermining of passenger safety and potentials for non-compliance with Disability Discimination primary legislation, and the undermining of transport links for the West london venues for the 2012 Olympics]. The Group has included a list of new developmenst in the West london corridor that are significant generators of passenger demand for the West London Line services.

Zonal Fares at West Brompton from 2nd Jan '07

New London zonal fares were introduced on 2 January 2007 on Silverlink and Southern services to and from West Brompton. WLLG has issued a pamphlet describing the benefits to passengers, where some fares are now reduced whilst others remain unchanged from the 2006 fare structure.
