The West London Line Group (WLLG) was set up in November 2004, to represent rail passengers and other organisations interested in the use of stations along the West London Line corridor. The Group’s primary aim is to seek a credible, robust and passenger-friendly set of rail services on the West London Line.

WLLG reponse to Withdrawal of Mon-Fri GTR/Southern trains on West London Line

The Group has issued a fourth progress report following coverage of gaps by London Overground in WLL services due to withdrawal of Southern services. A partial service in the morning and late afternoon peaks on Mondays-Fridays has been restored. Report is in Latest News.

The West London Line Group has written to Patrick McLoughlin, MP, Secretary of State for Transport, seeking an immediate reversal of the decision to withdraw the whole GTR/Southern WLL service on Mondays-Fridays for an indefinite period and the full restoration of this service. The Group writes to the Secretary of State, Department of Tranport requesting reinstatement of the East Croydon to Milton Keynes, Monday to Friday, services following suspension of this service from 11 July. See Latest News section for details.

WLLG proposals for House of Lords HS2 Debate on 14th April 2016

The Group has asked Lord Ahmad of Wimbledon, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Transport, in the debate in the House of Lords on 14 April 2016 to support the Group's proposals for improving HS2 and surrounding infrastructure for the future long-term benefit of the country.

Travel by West London Line to the Earl's Court Society - Routemaster display on Tuesday 30 September

RM 1 was first unveiled at the Commercial Motor Show 60 years ago in the Ear'l's Court Exhibition Hall (24/9/54 to 2/10/54).
The Earl's Court Society will have a Routemaster display on the forecourt of the Earl's Court Exhibition Hall between 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday 30th September, with admission £5 by programme. Details are on the London Omnibus Traction Society web site, in the News section - scroll to Forthcoming Events, or read the poster [pdf]

Routemasters 1, 2, 3, 4 and FRM 1 (at least) are due to be on display.  Prior to this, they are due to depart at 3.15pm from the Addison Road bus stand (as was used by the 9H) on a short road run, and during the next hour or so, they will be posed in places on both sides (Warwick Road and West Brompton) of the Exhibition Hall.

Earl's Court and West Kensington Opportunity Area redevelopment

See Latest News to find out how the Group, in conjunction with the Earl's Court Society, is proposing to Network Rail and London Underground that they re-install track cross over between LUL and WLL to faciliate transport of materials to and from the redevelopment be made via rail instead of road.

WLLG response to HS2 and proposes new service links and station improvements

The Group has submitted its support for HS2 highlighting the opportunities for (i) new interconnections and links, (ii) for the South Chilterns, (iii) for service links via Old Oak Common, and (iv) additional capacity, flexibility , visibility and accessibility for high speed networks if trains ran between HS2 and HS1

The Group has also proposed new services to link HS2 to HS1 via Euston and via Crossrail 1 at Old Oak Common, and between HS2 and WLL
